Stage 1 is Subclass 457. This visa is granted for 4 years.
After visa grant, you must enter Australia to carry out the proposed work.
Subclass 186 (Temporary Residence Transition Stream):
This is for you if:
- Your Australian Subclass 457 sponsor wishes to sponsor you again for permanent residence
- Have worked for your sponsoring company for 2 years
- Having a vocational level of English (the English requirement is exempted if the proposed salary will be above AU$180,000)
- Age limit: Less than 50 years
