Stage 1, Subclass 188B is granted for 4 years and it is temporary visa.
After visa grant, you must enter Australia, hold your investment for 4 years, and you must be physically inside Australia for 2 years cumulatively during the 4-year period.
Stage2, Subclass 888B is a permanent visa. To apply, this visa has three streams and you must continue the same stream as you applied in Stage 1.
This is for you if you have:
- Held your investment of AU$1.5million in state government bonds in Australia for 4 years
- Been inside Australia for 2 years cumulatively in that 4-year period
